Conscious
Sustainable hotel concept
Sustainability is our passion
Sustainability is an ongoing process of development for us – towards higher quality at all levels, an enriching and sensory experience, and a respectful coexistence. Therefore, we would like to invite you – our guests, employees, people in the region, and business partners – to join us on a journey towards a more sustainable and meaningful way of living and working!
Our commitment goes beyond hospitality and cooperation. We are dedicated to people, animals, nature, and society. That’s why we embrace the concept of a circular economy, thinking ecologically and economically throughout the entire value chain. We are a Bioland partner and a member of the Federal Association for Sustainable Economy (BNW).
Every booking with us or any form of collaboration supports our initiatives in climate and environmental protection, while simultaneously creating added value for all involved.
Here’s what we pay attention to
- We heat with a heat pump
- We use 100% eco-friendly electricity
- Our buildings are made from natural materials using traditional construction methods
- Exclusive use of water-saving fixtures
- Organic cosmetics in the rooms
- Only recycled paper is used
- Charging stations for electric vehicles
- Collaboration with RadRetterCelle – the sustainable bike rental solution
- No daily room cleaning (cleaning every two days)
Climate Management
The Biohotel WildLand is one of the first hotels to implement the new climate management system by TourCert. TourCert is one of the most renowned providers of certifications in the field of sustainability and climate protection for the tourism industry.
After nearly a year, the creation of the first carbon footprint was completed, laying the foundation for a significant reduction in the CO2 footprint. Although the introduction of climate management was labor-intensive, Inga Cramer is proud of the achieved successes and the motivation of her team. WildLand shows that sustainability is not just a trend, but a long-term and necessary shift in hotel management. TourCert provides the necessary support and expertise to make this transformation successful.
TourCert offers a comprehensive climate management system specifically for the hospitality industry. The non-profit organization, which has been committed to ecological, social, and economic responsibility in tourism since 2009, helps hotels operate sustainably and offers extensive support, seminars, and online training.
With "Climate Management by TourCert," more than just basic greenhouse gas accounting is made possible. Hotels receive a comprehensive range of practical tools to analyze their current status, assess the effectiveness of measures, and implement sustainable operations. The system is designed as an "all-in-one package" and supports hotels individually in improving their environmental balance and operating sustainably.
Details about the implementation of the Climate Management by TourCert can be found on the certificate.
Nature hotel
Due to its sustainable hotel concept, its proximity to nature, and the organic quality of the food, WildLand was featured in an article by National Geographic in July 2024 as one of the best nature hotels in Germany:
"Not only the hotel, but also the associated restaurant relies 100 percent on sustainability and seasonal, regional ingredients in organic quality. Here, environmentally conscious guests can relax with just as much peace of mind as in the 10,000-square-meter natural garden of the property."
